兩場小組賽過後，國足在兩連勝的情況下，提前出線進入十六強。

國足小組賽最後一戰對手為韓國隊，不過韓國隊在第二輪比賽中1：0戰勝吉爾吉斯斯坦隊同樣提前出線。

The win has guaranteed a round of 16 berth for China who beat Kyrgyzstan 2-1 in their first group match. China remain topping Group C with 6 points and will take on South Korea in the final group match.

在賽後採訪中，裏皮表示，今天踢了一場很好的比賽，高質量，有侵略性。

對於武磊的出色表現，教練也給予了肯定。

“This is a positive result for us, we created many chances to score and I hope we can play like this in every match. I am happy we have Wu Lei in our team, he should have a hat-trick tonight,” China coach Marcello Lippi said.

裏皮認為由於韓國隊也已經提前出線，所以會在最後一輪比賽中輪休主力，而中國隊也會在人員輪換方面作出合理調整。

值得一提的是，在國足這場酣暢淋漓的比賽後，中國球迷表現也值得點贊。
