如果有一天，盲人能重新看見世界……_風聞

很多科幻小説電影中，經常出現這樣的場景，主人公即使看不見前方的敵人卻能通過電子設備識別出來。

也許，這種在科幻中的場景很快就能運用到我們生活當中。來自美國的五位高中畢業生帶着自己的人工智能識別產品來到了中美創客大賽。

第三集《“盲視”，讓你重新看見世界》

Blindsight（盲視）是他們小組的名字，隊裏的負責人傑維·辛格告訴小編，之所以取這個名字的用意就是希望通過他們的產品，能讓盲人重新看見世界。

那麼他們是怎麼做到的呢？

傑西是這樣説的：“人工智能現在應用十分廣泛，在我們的程序上尤其如此。我們用人工智能來幫助用户識別物體，比如識別一杯水。如果盲人站在了一杯水面前，我們能幫助他意識到他面前有一杯水。”

Well obviously AI is everywhere now, and especially in our app where we use AI to help recognize objects, like we can identify, for example, a cup of water. If a blind person is standing in front of a cup of water, we can help that blind person realize that that’s what’s in front of them.

小夥伴們是不是很激動，想看一看這設備到底長啥樣？

這不，就有一個外國小帥哥過來試戴了。

小組隊長對他講解道：“我們的設備由一個計算機的中央盒子和像這樣放在你手臂上的手臂帶組成。手臂帶內裝有電動機，計算機和內部攝像頭。計算機能通過你的手機響應。當你對着手機説：“嘿，克里斯蒂“，設備會開始工作並使用攝像頭拍照。相機能看到周圍的世界，並瞭解正在發生的事情。然後計算機會在耳邊告訴他們：“這是一部個人電話。這是一瓶水。””

Our device is composed of a central box from the computer and an arm band that goes on your arm like this. The arm band has motors inside it and its computer and a camera inside this device. The computer is able to respond to your phone. When you say ‘Hey Christy’ into your phone, the cleaner works on and starts taking a picture with the camera. The camera will see the world around the person and figure what’s going on. Then the computer will tell the person in their ear ‘This is a personal phone. This is a water bottle.’

不得不説，如果這個產品投入到市場，或許真的會給盲人及視覺受損人羣帶來很大的便利。

那這小組的產品有沒有晉級呢？

看看這位小哥的反應就知道了——“我當時都不知道發生了什麼？ 我做錯了什麼？這就是我對於剛剛演講的感受。我們希望能贏。不過，講真，我真的很緊張。我應該再喝點紅牛。我有些疲憊。”

I was like, what’s happening, what am I doing wrong? That’s how I feel about the presentation. Well we expect to win. But like seriously, I was really nervous. I don’t think I have enough Red Bull. Nonempty, I was kind of tired as well.

想必小夥伴們也明白了，很遺憾他們沒進入決賽。但是對他們來説，能跟來自世界各地的頂尖年輕人才互相交流學習，已經是非常棒的經歷了！

隊長説道：“我們來到這次青年創客大賽，最重要的就是想要藉此機會認識一些世界各地最有智慧的人。這真的是個很棒的活動，將中美兩國的頂尖人才聚在了一起。我們很感激有這個機會認識大家，瞭解他們的好點子和創意過程。我覺得中國和美國之間的良好關係真的非常重要，因為很多新技術都是在這兩個國家的公司中最先研發出來的。美國常常是軟件技術發展的最前沿，但中國卻有着最好的硬件設備，並通過最嚴謹、最合適的方式將技術應用於現實。所以只有當這兩個國家合作的時候才能實現最好的技術和創新。所以我想如果我們兩國之間的關係能夠更好的話，對整個世界來説都是一件好事。我們兩國應當友好相待，共同努力將這個世界變得更加美好。”

So while we are at this Young Maker Competition, we mostly came here to have the opportunity to meet some of the best people with the brightest minds from across the world. This is obviously a very great event to have the top minds of China and the United States coming together in one building. And we appreciate the opportunity to network and meet these people, understand their great ideas and their creative processes. I think that a good relationship between China and the US is very important because a lot of new technologies are designed and published in these two companies. The United States is often the forefront of technology development in software and ideas but China has some of the best hardware implementation and the best, rigidest and great actual technologies and bring them to life. So the best technologies and the best innovations they can only happen with the partnership between these two countries. And I think it’s to the benefit of everybody including the whole world if we can get a better relationship between these two countries and making sure that we are treating each other as friends and working together to make this world a better place.

雖然沒能進入決賽，但小編仍要為他們點贊。敢於創新，勇於實踐，這才是新時代的創客精神！
