Let’s look at this from a few angles:
· An egg weighs about 1.7 ounces. That means that the absolute most weight you can gain from an egg in a perfect system is 1.7 ounces. Your body is not a perfect system and you will not gain 1.7 ounces from something that weighs 1.7 ounces.
· Eggs are high in a ton of nutrients, fats, and proteins mainly. These are primarily used to rebuild cells before being stored as fat, though some will, naturally…and this isn’t a bad thing. The faster something is stored as fat, the quicker your body feels satiated and the less you eat. Dietary fat is easily stored in fat cells since it requires no “key” like insulin to open it up.
· It’s not “eggs” that make you fat it’s EATING TOO MUCH FOOD. Sure, if all you eat are lettuce and eggs and you end up being fat, it’s probably the eggs making you fat, which means you’re eating a TON of eggs (you should probably cut back).
No single food “makes you fat”. Even HFCS or some other fancy sugar won’t make you fat in isolation, unless you eat a ton of it.
The trick is: don’t eat too much. Then you won’t get fat.
