有兩個兄弟在上山途中遇到了神仙，神仙將釀酒之法傳授給了兄弟倆，還告訴他們要密封49天才可以，並且在第49天雞叫三遍後才能喝。兄弟倆將材料找齊後，就開始用神仙傳授給他們的方法釀造起來，就在第49天雞叫了第二遍後，兄弟中的一個迫不及待地打開了酒缸蓋子，他嚐了一下味道，哎呀，缸裏的水像醋一樣酸，又像中藥一樣苦，他只得灰心喪氣地看着這缸沒釀好的酒。可是另一個兄弟一直忍到雞到了三遍後打開蓋子，他嚐了一口：“啊，多麼甘甜清澈的酒啊！”他説道。
